so... to kick things off on the blog, I wanted to share a bit about the SS'20 Collection!

I'll be sharing the inspiration behind the collection on a whole, introducing the new styles, the process of choosing the colour scheme & of course the designer's pick (a hard decision to make, but it had to be done!).

the inspiration...

for this collection I wanted to designs pieces that are a no-brainer. effortless styles, ethically made in small batches. 

TRU is proud to be a part of the #SlowFashion movement.

our main source of inspiration will always be the simplicity of island living with an added city-life flare. Taking that care-free, laid-back, 'on holiday' vibe and bringing you styles that can be worn from island to city seamlessly.

the colours...

for this collection, staying with my main concept of effortless & no-brainer; I wanted the colour scheme to reflect that too.

so I chose:

•Black - I feel like I don't need to go into detail here... personally, black is a must & I will forever have black in every collection.

•Ivory - people ask me all the time 'why not white?' - thing is, I do love to see white, but there is something soo classic about ivory & well I'm the designer so what I say goes hehe.

•Army Green - ahhh, my favorite colour; let me explain a bit.. this shade of green is so much more than a colour for me.. for me it embodies growth, life & gives me an all round feeling of creation.

when I tell you it's  h a r d  to pick a favorite, it really is.

this entire collection is my style & I love every single piece. 

but - there's always a favorite (our parents are liars..)

so my favorite style would have to be....

the STEPHANIE TEE 

hands down, this tee is one of my favorite designs I've ever come up with. 

the fabric is an organic pima cotton which is sooo soft & if you're like me (have sensitive skin) this tee will be life-changing.  

the fit is so effortless with many different ways to style it suites my multiple-style-personality self:')

it's just the best of the best.
